Austin Screen Graphics Art Requirements:
All "camera ready" art should be clean and on white paper/board
or clear film background.
Also we prefer a black and white copy for scans and camera ready work
(a color version is optional). If a good quality original is not available,
we can
print from your disk or produce an original in our art department.
Otherwise, any variation is usually more time consuming and may be
considered custom art work (billable time!).
Computer File Access Capability: The art department
is capable of converting your computer images into camera-ready art
when it is delivered to us on a 100 mb zip cartridge, cd, or a 3.5
floppy disk.
ASG Art Department Software - Macintosh Preferred
- Macromedia Freehand 7.0 or later versions
(vector art, best for type images or outline illustrations). Save
as Native Freehand format and convert type to outlines.
- Adobe Illustratior 6.0 or later (Same as
Freehand)Native Illustrator format and convert type to outlines.
- Adobe Photoshop 2.0 or laterr (Raster/Pixel
based, best used for continuous tone images, i.e. photos & fine
art). 4.0 or earlier version TIFF preferred. RGB format
NOTE: If continous tone image (photographic or
painterly style) is used, the image resolution/DPI should be set
at : 110-150 at the full size of your print
If your Photoshop image is line art (hard edges) image resolution/dpi
should be a minimum of 300 dpi at full size for best results.
- Corel 8.0 or earlier Note: Please remember
to convert type to outlines.This will ensure that the final print
be true to the original design.
